Psychology and coaching: description of an approach.

The coaching process I propose focuses on the positive aspects of human functioning.

My approach is based on positive psychology which borrows its concepts from disciplines such as psychology, neuroscience, and the human sciences, and is interested in what makes people resilient and optimistic.

​

 

According to Linley and Joseph, 2004; Castiello D'Antonio, 2018, each person's ability to develop and achieve their goals depends on identifying, optimizing, and applying their strengths. In line with this approach, we will work together on your strengths, become aware of them, and deploy them.

 

The work will consist of drawing from within yourself. Indeed, I firmly believe that each individual who manages to overcome an ordeal that at first sight seemed insurmountable can look for levers within himself that enable him to manage a "problematic" situation in the best possible way. 

 

A psychologist once said to me, you are lucid, you can read within yourself, but sometimes you need a mirror to look at and finally see what is part of you that you could not see at first sight. 

 


Without going into a process of digging into the wounds of your past, I would like to focus on what you have put in place to overcome them. This is what my coaching is all about, it takes place over a set period of time and focuses on a particular theme that is specific to you.
